Have you ever heard my tummy growl? Some mornings it is so loud I wonder if you can hear it on the radio! It is an audible reminder that I’m hungry. Are you getting any signs that you are hungry today? What for?
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” Matthew 5:6
I often ask God to give me a hunger for His Word and for His presence. Truth be told, sometimes I ignore the growling of my soul. If you’re hungry and thirsty for more of Jesus, He promises to fill you. His Word and His presence always satisfy. And if you don’t have much of an appetite for Jesus or spiritual things yet, can I challenge you to ask God to make you hungry? There’s nothing more satisfying than being loved by your heavenly Father and filled with His peace and joy. Let Him fill you today with His presence. He, alone, can satisfy the hunger in your soul. – Sandi
