Do you love someone who doesn’t yet love God? You are not alone. I hope this story from scripture encourages you today. Hannah saw her son, Samuel, as a gift from God. She prayed for him before he was even born and dedicated him to the Lord.
“Samuel did not yet know the Lord.” 1 Samuel 3:7
What did Hannah do? She prayed. What did God do? He pursued Samuel. Waking him up at night. Calling him by name. When God speaks…even to the unbeliever, it gets their attention. Samuel became a follower and prophet of God.
God sees you. He hears your prayers. And He loves the lost even more than we do. So, keep praying. Trust that God will pursue, speak and reveal Himself in the way and timing He chooses. Samuel had a praying mom and a faithful God! That’s a powerful combination!
