We have an enemy. I don’t like to give the devil more attention than he deserves. But God’s Word is clear…evil is real.
“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him.
Stand firm in the faith…” 1 Peter 5:8-9
I have no idea what the devil looks like. But I have seen evidence of him working. He doesn’t play fair. He attacks and attempts to take advantage of our weaknesses. But thanks be to God that we don’t have to face his antics by ourselves. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we can resist the enemy and cling to God, who always provides a way out. Be alert today. You may see evidence of the enemy. But you will also find the fingerprints of God firmly holding on to you. – Sandi
