Fear is illogical. But it is also real. My mind knows that God is with me. Fear says that He is a million miles away.
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear…The Lord Almighty is with us.” Psalm 46: 1-2,7
If fear is whispering in your ear today, you can clap back with truth. This verse reminds us that God is available. Inviting. He is strong. Unequalled in power and authority. And He is present. Close. Including when we feel overwhelmed and outnumbered. If all of that is true, fear has no ground to stand on. We can confidently rest knowing that we are in His capable care. Fear may continue to whisper today. This verse is a great response. Our heart needs the reminder as well. – Sandi
