Why does God allow pain and suffering? We’ve all asked that question. There’s not a simple answer. But we do live in a broken world, filled with broken people bumping into each other. It’s no wonder that we feel battered and broken at times. Heaven is where there will be no more pain or sorrow. Until then, in this world, we will experience pain.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of stars and calls them each by name.” Psalm 147:3-4
I love this verse because it reminds me that God is so big and powerful that He put the stars in place and even knows them by name. AND….He is still so attentive to our brokenness that he gently cares for our wounds and broken hearts. If you’re hurting today, don’t lose hope. Hold on to the maker of the stars and the healer of your broken heart. Hold on for eternity. – Sandi
