What if God does more than keep a “watchful eye” over you?
“You hem me in, behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me.” Psalm 139:5
I don’t know why, but this verse brings me so much comfort. A sense of security. Not immunity from bumps and bruises. But a confidence that He is my careful protector. He doesn’t leave me in a vulnerable position…He’s behind where I can’t see. He goes before me where I haven’t seen yet. And all the while, He never lets go. His hand is on me. God isn’t a distant Father. He lovingly covers and surrounds you in care and protection. You are hemmed in…by His presence. – Sandi
