If you’re feeling distant from God, you’re not alone. If it’s been awhile since you’ve talked to God, listened for His voice or opened up your mind and heart to Him, you’re not alone. I mean you literally are not alone.
“…They hid from the Lord God among the trees…But the Lord God called to them, “Where are you?” Genesis 3:8-9
We hide. God seeks. It is a pattern as old as time. And one I repeat often. But so does God. Where is He when you’re hiding from Him? He’s close. He’s calling out. He won’t let go. He loves you enough, even when you’re trying to hide, to keep pursuing you. When the voice of shame tells you to hide, listen for another voice that is also persistently calling out.
