Have you ever thought about how inconvenient it was for the “heroes” of the Bible to follow God? Their “normal” got turned upside down the minute God invited them to obey.
“Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord…God told Noah to make an ark…You are to bring into the ark two living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive with you.” Genesis 6
That was quite an inconvenient request. Build a huge boat. Gather animals. Live with the animals. Endure the storm of a lifetime. Wait for the rainbow.
I don’t know what obedience looks like in your life today. But it probably looks inconvenient and unlikely. You can trust God anyway. Your “normal” may get knocked sideways. But God will see you through and honor your obedience. Don’t settle for normal when God is inviting you into more. – Sandi
