If I’m honest, at times, my relationship with Jesus is more about me than Him. It is so easy to get focused on our lives and wants that we forget He is on the throne of our hearts.
“If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” Mark 8:34
I don’t know exactly what Jesus had in mind when He said that, but one thing is clear: It’s more about Him than me. He leads. We follow. He sacrificed for us. We’re called to do the same. He gets the final word.
This is a good reset for my heart. God loves us. And He calls us to follow Him in loving others. May that be our passion and mission as followers of Jesus today. – Sandi
