“We all want the strong seat. But what if what God can use you more if you’re sitting in the weak seat?” A good friend asked me that question recently and it hasn’t left my mind. I was having a pity party because of a physical injury that will require surgery. I was lamenting over all of things I can’t easily do right now. And she said that God is allowing me to sit in a “weak seat” for awhile instead of in a position of strength and ability.
“He who is least among you all- he is the greatest.” Luke 9:48
When the disciples argued about who was the greatest, Jesus reminded them that whoever welcomes children is the greatest. Whoever humbly accepts their weaknesses and other’s weaknesses and realizes their need for a Savior…they have received the greatest gift.
If you are sitting in a “weak seat” remember that God can still use you. In fact, His ability to work through and be seen in your weakest moments speaks loudly to a watching world. Let’s trust Him, even from the weak seat. – Sandi
