I can still remember some of the lyrics to songs I loved in high school. They make me cringe a little now, but they’re still tucked in my memory bank. Perhaps that’s a good thing. It reminds me that I’m not who I used to be.
“He lifted me out of the pit, out of the mud; he set my feet on a rock…He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God…” Psalm 40:2-3
What song are you singing today? Is it different than the one you sang before you knew Jesus? If so, thank God. Thank Him for the new life you have. The old chains that are gone.
