I am not a fan of Jesus. Sounds shocking, doesn’t it? But here’s why: God isn’t calling us to be fans. He is calling us to be followers.
“If you love me, you will obey what I command.” John 14:15
This can be an “ouch” verse for me. It is easy for me to say that I love Jesus. But it can be really difficult for me to follow His lead. To choose to forgive. To love my enemies. To be humble and a peacemaker. To choose His way over my way. That is what it means to love Him. I pray that God would lovingly call out the places in our lives that don’t match up with His Word. So that our love and our lives follow His lead. We love you, God! – Sandi
