I wonder how many times our “good” gets in the way of God’s best?
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5
I see it in my life at times. I work really hard, do my best and get the job done. And most of the time, it’s good. But I’ve also seen the times I feel completely overwhelmed, call out to God in desperation and He does something only He could do. It is humbling. And it is a reminder that our hearts need. Without Him, we can do nothing of eternal impact. But with His power working through us, nothing is impossible.
May we not settle for good. May His Word be alive in our hearts. And the power of the Holy Spirit be at work in and through us for His glory. He is the source. We are nothing without Him. – Sandi
