“Where are you, God?” I have cried that prayer more times than I can count. When you’re struggling and in a dark place, it is difficult to see God working or feel like He’s there at all. But when the clouds lift, you can often look back with more clarity and see that God was always with you and working on your behalf.
“Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy.” Psalm 126
You may not be able to see or feel it now. But God is with you. Even in the pain and through the tears. And He’s not only close, He promises to see you through it and to use it to bring about good. The pain and suffering produce a crop of joy. In His time. In His way.
So hold on. Cry out to Him, even when you can’t see Him. You are in a planting season. The harvest will come. And it will look like joy. -Sandi
