Why worry? I think I’ve discovered the root to a lot of my worry: a lack of trust.
“Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.” Jeremiah 17:7
Isn’t it funny that we can confidently believe that God created the world, yet still worry about what we’re facing today? We see evidence of God’s faithfulness through scripture, but still worry if He will come through for us?
Worry says, “What if?” Trust says, “God is faithful.”
Where will we place our confidence and trust? In unknown scenarios or in the One who knows all and promises to work it all out for our good? When we place our confidence in Him, it is well placed. And this verse reminds us that there is blessing in trusting God as well. Perhaps the blessing looks like peace and joy. I want more of that too! So, God, I will trust you and place my confidence in you alone! – Sandi
