More. Joy. We all crave it. But where does it come from and how do you find it?
“Consider it pure joy whenever you face trials…because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.” James 1:2
What if joy is something that is developed and fostered by enduring the rough patches in life? I don’t believe that it is something we muster up…it is a byproduct. A pastor once told me, “If you value comfort more than character, you will never embrace joy.”
If you’re carrying a heavy load today, keep walking. If you’re facing a difficult decision, do the right thing. When you’re tested, persevere. That’s where joy comes from. What a neat “honoring” of the really difficult times in our life…God uses it to produce something beautiful. JOY. – Sandi
