I worry. And sometimes I worry that I worry too much. We all know that worry isn’t a healthy pastime. But do you know that worry is a thief? Not just of your time and your joy. Worry can dull our hearts to God and His Word.
“Some people are like seed along the path, where the Word is sown….but they are overwhelmed with worries. The stress strangles what they heard, and nothing comes of it.” Mark 4:15,19
I think the enemy has packaged “worry” in a way that disguises its real impact. When we let our minds and hearts run rampant with worry, there’s no room for God’s Word to take root. And when that happens, faith and hope are completely crowded out of the picture.
There’s a better way…for both of us. May the Truth of God’s Word and His faithfulness be more sticky in our minds than worry. – Sandi
