God’s love for you isn’t rooted in your performance. Or the number of good things outweighing the bad things that you do. He chooses to love us. At our best and worst.
“God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
It is the heart of God to love us. And I can’t quite wrap my mind around that kind of love. It is perfect. Unconditional. Consistent. Relentless. And costly.
He is perfectly loving. And He is perfectly Holy, without sin. So He had to make a way for our sin to be dealt with, in a loving and Holy way. The only way. For His son to pay the price for us.
God knows the depths of your sin. Mine too. And He loves us and forgives us anyway. What a love! – Sandi
