Fear has such a convincing voice. An influential presence. But it is not rooted in truth, and it comes from the father of lies.
“You did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, ‘Abba Father’.” Romans 8:15
Two voices vie for our attention and affection. One comes from the father of lies and produces fear. The other comes from God himself and produces peace. And a confidence in our standing as His child.
What is fear saying to you today? You don’t have to believe it because you are a child of God. Your peace and protection are rooted in God’s faithfulness. The next time the enemy tries to invite you into fear, cry out to your Father. Lean into Truth. Rest in His peace. – Sandi
