It is the one thing that God requires. The only thing that He honors. And the most difficult thing for us to do.
“Does the Lord take pleasure in offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice.” 1 Samuel 15:22
Obedience. Choosing His way instead of our own. Sacrificing our wants for His will. It is at the core of faith because it is tangibly saying, “I trust you and I’m following you.”
And it brings God pleasure.
