Who is on the other end of your prayers? The Maker of all things.
“As you do not know the paths of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.” Ecclesiastes 11:5
I need to be reminded. I may not be able to fathom the way that God works. But He is always working.
The list is long…of the things I can’t understand. My mind can race trying to predict outcomes and figure out what God may be doing. But that is a frustrating pursuit. Peace comes when we simply surrender to the one whose ways and thinking are above our own. Surrender to the Maker of all things.
If you can’t understand what God is doing, or seemingly isn’t doing, join the club. But what if God isn’t predictable, but He is faithful? What if we can trust His heart? What if we look at our circumstances through the lens of His grace and consistent care?
We may not understand how all of the pieces fit together yet. But we know that the Maker is still making all things right. In His time and in His perfect way. – Sandi
