If you feel overlooked or overwhelmed, Jesus has some encouragement for you.
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:3
Jesus always seemed to honor the “little.” The “poor.” He saw significance when others saw inadequate. He honored the heart, not the outward appearance. The humility of those who came to him with more questions than answers. He honored the humble. And He still does.
If you feel like an inferior Christian, like your faith is holding on by a thread, like you need Jesus more today than you ever have before…you are blessed. Because you recognize your need for a Savior.
There is a richness in life when you humbly surrender to God’s way and acknowledge your need for Him. It brings peace, contentment, and hope. Because your confidence is placed in Him, not in your own abilities or success.
