When will the enemy stop trying to discourage and distract? Not today. He was persistent in tempting Jesus and his stripes haven’t changed. After tempting Jesus twice before, the devil took Him to a mountain and said,
“All this I will give you if you bow down and worship me.” Matthew 4:9
I can’t get over the gall and the persistence of the enemy. He was toe to toe with Jesus, the King. Yet still acted like he was the one in charge. Personally, I think the enemy knew of Jesus’ authority. He was simply attempting to distract and discourage.
And he still uses those tactics with us today. The enemy is real. His lies are not. Don’t believe him. Don’t give up. Not today. He is defeated. You are not. – Sandi
