When the third worship song at church began, I was struck how my mind and heart had been distracted. Preoccupied. Unaffected. I was at a worship service, but my heart was a million miles away. I realized that worship was all around me, but not within me.
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” (Psalm 149:6)
If breathing is inhaling, then worship is exhaling. At church. In the car. At work. Worship is when we recognize Him as the only One who sustains us. Worship is our response to who He is.
Take a deep breath. Think about His love and goodness in your life. As you exhale, may it in be in praise to the Lord. Worship is more than a song. Worship is a posture of the heart. – Sandi
