A shaken confidence in God’s faithfulness. That is the state of my mind and heart when I begin to believe the lies of the enemy.
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him…He will be like a tree planted by the water…it doesn’t fear when heat comes…it has no worries in a of year of drought…” Jeremiah 17:7-8
I love the imagery. A tree planted by the water. Sturdy. Confident in its source of life.
When we stay close to God’s heart, we find our encouragement and confidence in Him. We know our source of life. We’re not easily swayed by the stuff going on around us. We rest in His provision.
We’re not prone to worry. We fear less. Our confidence in God’s faithfulness is not shaken.
