Do you ever get stuck in the shame cycle? Try hard. Fall short. Feel discouraged. Try harder. Same results. Remember, God doesn’t expect you to do this life in my own strength.
“Be strong and courageous Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
It is exhausting to try to “measure up” to expectations, of God, yourself or others. God knows your weaknesses and limitations. He doesn’t expect you to muster up strength and courage on your own. But He does promise to walk with you and empower you by His Spirit.
You don’t need to strive to do life in your own abilities today. Find your courage and strength in Him. – Sandi
