Anxiety can present like a weed in your life. It is unwanted. It is resilient. It grows quickly in places you don’t expect. If you are stressed and overwhelmed, you have an ally in the battle against the anxious thoughts in your mind.
“When anxiety was great within me, your comfort brought joy to my soul.” Psalm 94:19
Anxiety comes without warning. It grows and spreads. One anxious thought turns into a wildfire of emotion and fear.
But I love the reminder that when anxiety tries to take hold, God’s grip is still firm. He meets you in the middle of “overwhelmed.” He comforts you. He restores hope. He infuses joy. He reminds you of His power and grace.
If you’re feeling anxious today, cry out to Jesus. He understands. He is ready to tend to the garden of your soul with comfort and joy. – Sandi
