How can you know that God is real? And that He loves you?
“This is how God showed his love…He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice for our sin.” 1 John 4:9-10
God could have simply loved us from afar. But instead, and still, His love is personal and sacrificial. He paid a price too lofty for us to pay. Jesus is the evidence of God’s love.
If you are feeling unloved or unlovable today, look at the evidence to the contrary. Your emotions are not as reliable as God’s heart for you. He chose to love you before you chose to love Him. And His love is always moving toward you. You are perfectly loved. – Sandi
