Have you ever been disappointed that God didn’t step in and save the day? Have you ever questioned His timing? I have. Several years ago, my husband and I lost a baby. I was so sad and disappointed. And, if I’m being honest, I was mad at God. So, I cried out and asked Him why?
“I, I am He who comforts you.” Isaiah 51:12
I didn’t hear God’s voice. But I recognized what He said to my heart. He lovingly reminded me that answers don’t bring comfort. Only He can do that. He is the One who brings peace and comfort when answers can’t be found.
So, I stopped chasing the “why” and allowed Him to tend to my hurting heart. And He did.
If you need comfort today, call out to the only One who can soothe your soul. He is close. He understands and His presence can bring comfort and peace. – Sandi
