When have you grown the most in your relationship with God? I actually looked back on my life and made a chart of the times I felt closest to God. You know what I saw? Suffering was the common denominator. I don’t know if during my brokenness I moved closer to Him or He moved closer to me but I know He was near.
“My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you.” Job 42:5
Job’s life was marked by suffering. But what a reward….He experienced God firsthand through it all. And we can too. Don’t settle for simply hearing about God. Turn to Him. Especially in your suffering and struggle. Look for Him working. He is close. – Sandi
