Bio
I love making people laugh and think. When we’re laughing together……that’s a good day!
I like pigs, noseflutes and kites. Not necessarily in that order.
My favorite people in this world are the ones that point me to Jesus with their lives. My husband and 3 kids lead the way. They know me best and love me anyway.
Seeing God use JOY FM beyond my wildest dreams has been such a faith builder. He can use anyone and anything for His glory. I see it everyday. And I’m so thankful.
Beach or Mountain:
mountain
Biggest Treasure in this life:
my family
Favorite thing to do on a day off : Sleep in past 4am. Walk. Waste a bunch of time.
Fun fact:
My high school speech teacher forced me to do “radio” in speech competitions. She said the only way I could join “speech team” was if I did “radio.” I’m glad she did! Who knew???
One meal to eat for the rest of your life:
Panda Express Sweet Fire Chicken breast.
Favorite bible verse:
Psalm 37:4 “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” God changes our desires. And when we desire Him, everything else falls into place.
Bio:
I’m a pretty simple guy. Born and raised in the St. Louis area and glad to call it home. Married to my high school sweetheart with 3 kids. I’ve worked behind the scenes in radio my entire adult life and came to JOY FM to continue that trend…but after being here over 2 years I was asked to join the Morning Show on-air, where I’m happy to still be each morning! When not working, I enjoy exercising and spending time with family and friends. Doesn’t take much to keep me happy!
Last show you binge watched:
The Office (again)
Favorite song right now:
Jeremy Camp “Keep Me in the Moment”…great song and I need the reminder!
Pizza or Burger:
This is like choosing a favorite kid! But, I guess if I have to, I’ll go with burger. But it better be cheesy and sloppy.
Favorite thing to do on a day off:
Visit thrift shops to go “treasure hunting”.
Favorite bible verse: Ephesians 6: 10-20
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.Bio:
I have many loves! 1st Jesus (of course), then family (Come on! Who doesn’t?), my Harley and roller coasters (Yes! I am one of THOSE people)! I also love radio and love being a part of reaching St. Louis and beyond for Christ (Boy that sounded like a line on a resume?). Why is it when I write something, there is always another comment after it in parenthesis? (Don’t tell them about me?) I am NUTS.
Beach or Mountain:
Mountain, Favorite? Smoky Mountains. Mountain roller coasters are the best!
Biggest Treasure in this life:
My 2005 Harley Road King Classic EFI
One meal to eat for the rest of your life:
Meat Loaf, Mash potatoes, Corn
Favorite bible verse:
Romans 12:2
It talks about transformation in Christ. I even have a transformers tattoo that symbolizes it
Bio:
Excitement is an understatement when it comes to being on the Morning Show with Nick, Sandi, and Scott. Growing up in the St. Louis area, JOY FM has been a staple in our home since I was young. Now that I have a family of my own, there’s just something special about hearing the songs come out of our kids’ mouths.
I love being a wife and mom more than anything. Eating *Double Stuff* Oreos and enjoying lazy Saturdays with the fam is a close second, followed by watching or attending some St. Louis sporting event, hanging with our extended families, or reading a good book. I’m a very laid-back, go-with-the-flow sort of person, so give me some baby snuggles and family time, and I will be content 🙂
I can’t wait to continue connecting with JOY FM listeners and sharing the good news of Jesus!
Favorite song right now:
Firm Foundation by Cody Carnes to get me in my feels or Good News by Maverick City Music & Chandler Moore when I feel like dancing around worshipping!
Favorite thing to do on a day off:
Sleep in, snuggle my babies and watch Nate Bargatze with my husband!
Favorite bible verse:
Joshua 1:9
“Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Biggest Treasure in this life:
Being the wife of my husband, Brad & mom of our three kids, Oaks, Shaw & Banks!
Fun fact:
My husband and I have been together since I was in 8th grade!
One meal to eat for the rest of your life:
Super Bowl type food, a smorgasbord of appetizers! Or Hibachi 😋
