God can speak something profound in a few simple words.
“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
What a “Dad” thing to say! Simple. But profound. He knows that when we’re anxious and fearful, we need to focus less on our situation and more on who He is. It is like he’s pointing two fingers to His eyes, then directing them to ours and saying, “Hey, be quiet for a minute and look at me.” Because when we remember who He is, it changes who we are. We can be at peace. Trusting. Still. “Father, we hear you. We know you. So, we will be still in your presence.” – Sandi
