Have you ever sat through a worship service and your mind and heart were a million miles away? Distracted. Preoccupied. Upset. I’ve been there more times than I can count. I can be in a worship service but not have a heart of praise. I can also be in my car, alone in His presence, and offer Him an authentic heart of worship. It isn’t the where or the how. It is the heart.
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” Psalm 149:6
How many breaths do I take a day, unaware of the gift that it is? If breathing is inhaling, worship is exhaling. We recognize Him as the only One who sustains us. And we pause to give thanks. Take a deep breath. Think about His love and goodness in your life. As you exhale, may it be in praise to the Lord. – Sandi
