When we adopted our youngest son, the judge asked if we understood the gravity of our decision. He said, “Are you willing to love this child the same as you love your two biological children?” He wanted to make sure we knew that the decision being made that day would forever tether us together.
“The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.” Romans 8: 16
Do you understand the gravity of your relationship with God? You don’t simply believe that God is real or that Jesus rose from the dead. You have given your life over to Him. You trust Him as your Savior. He accepts you. You accept His gift of new life. And you are not only made new on the inside, you are adopted as God’s child. Forever tethered because of His faithfulness. I pray that His Spirit lovingly reminds you of that truth today. – Sandi
