Have you ever considered why you’re here? Why, of all the places around the world that you could be, God has you right here, right now?
Those questions came to my mind as I read about Jonah. After he survived the big fish, he sat overlooking the city that God called him to. He sat comfortably in the shade until God removed it. Jonah’s anger with God revealed that he was more concerned about his own comfort than the lost city below.
“That city has a hundred and twenty thousand people who can’t tell their right hand from their left. Should I not be concerned about that great city?” Jonah 4:11
We, like Jonah, live in a city of hurting people. I pray that God gives us a heart and passion to love people like He does. It is why we’re here. – Sandi
