I can be very spiritually nearsighted. I have a difficult time focusing on anything beyond me.
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition…but in humility consider others better than yourselves…look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.” Philippians 2:3-4
This verse isn’t the one that we tattoo or hang up on the refrigerator. But it really does poke me good. Especially when I consider how Jesus lived this out. The King. Humbly serving and dying for people who didn’t deserve it. Me included. Today, the King invites us into His humble work. Dying to self. Serving others. We’re going to bump into other undeserving people today. May the King remind our hearts to be humble and serve others well. – Sandi
