God rarely works in the way that I expect. When that happens, which is often, I’m learning that I have two choices: lean into disappointment. Or embrace His working in my life, which in and of itself is a gift.
“If you seek the Lord your God, you will find Him if you look for Him with all of your heart and with all of your soul.” Deuteronomy 4:29
When I look for answers or for my plans to be fulfilled, I can be disappointed. But when I seek Him wholeheartedly, I find Him. And He, alone, satisfies our soul. So, here is the challenge of the day: Look for Him. In the good. The redirected. The misunderstood. Let go of the “should have been” and embrace the God that is always working in your life. There’s joy in seeing His fingerprints in your life. Even if they’re unexpected.
