We have a perspective of “Good Friday” that those who were closest to Jesus didn’t have the day he was crucified. We know the rest of the story. They knew that Jesus died. Can you imagine their disappointment and confusion? They had given everything to follow him. They put all their “eggs” in one basket, and it had to feel like they lost it all when Jesus died.
“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we have, for He who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23
If you are sitting in a place of disappointment or loss today, take heart. Your hope is placed in the one who rose from the dead. It may look one way today. But Sunday is coming. He gets the last word. And you can trust His promises. Hold on to hope! – Sandi
