More About Justin

Bio:

I was born and raised in South Georgia but have spent time in Florida and Tennessee. However, St. Louis was the fresh start my life needed. It’s also here that I met my wife, Marisa, and where our daughter, Banks, was born. I’ve been around music most of my life… as a drummer and on the radio. There’s something about a melody and heartfelt, meaningful lyrics that speak to me in ways other things can’t. I’m highly competitive, usually organized, and slightly germaphobic. I have way too many hats and a fear of stinking. If we ever meet, you’ll probably be like… “That guy’s hat was way too big and he had on too much cologne.” I apologize in advance.

Beach or Mountain:

Mountain – because this white boy will roast on the beach.

Biggest Treasure in this life:

Person: My grandfather. He’s a WWII vet with a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He’s also the most humble, God-fearing man I know. It will be a major accomplishment if I’m even half the man he is.

Thing: The drum set that I designed. Occasionally, I show people pictures like it’s my child.

Favorite thing to do on a day off:

Watch or play baseball. Well… let’s be honest. There’s no way I’m hitting a baseball. If I’m playing, it’s slow-pitch church softball.

Favorite bible verse:

2 Timothy 1:7 – “For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Bio

I was born in the Pacific Northwest (my happy place) and have lived in a lot of places, but after 20+ years, I definitely call St. Louis my home.. I love mentoring teen girls/younger women, leading worship at my church, and being Kim Aunty to 3 of the most adorable kids. You will usually find me in a big pair of earrings, a kimono and comfy flip flops, while trying to convince anyone who will listen that “chips and queso” are indeed a love language!

As a former National Anthem singer for the Chicago Bulls and Cubs, I will always have a special place in my heart for these Chicago teams, but realizing how fun it is to win, I became a St. Louis Cardinals fan shortly after I moved here. I am fiercely committed to Sunday afternoon naps and sharing the love of Jesus, but not at the same time.

Nickname:

The Great Googler, Kim-Possible, DJ Jazzy Kimbo ..all ridiculous and I love it!

Biggest Treasure in this life:

My family and friends who are family! Also, photos of my parents who have passed away.

Fun fact:

I’m a former National Anthem Singer for the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bulls

One meal to eat for the rest of your life:

Monical’s Pizza with pepperoni and black olives, Monical’s salad with their french dressing (Monical’s fans know what I’m talking about) and a Pepsi!

Favorite bible verse:

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Bio:

I have many loves!  1st Jesus (of course), then family (Come on! Who doesn’t?), my Harley and roller coasters (Yes! I  am one of THOSE people)!  I also love radio and love being a part of reaching St. Louis and beyond for Christ (Boy that sounded like a line on a resume?).  Why is it when I write something, there is always another comment after it in parenthesis?  (Don’t tell them about me?) I am NUTS.

Last show you binge watched:

Shows I shouldn’t be watching  – Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul and Sons of Anarchy
