Most of the time that I’m frustrated with God, I’m probably holding on to what I want rather than trusting with He has in mind.
“You do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.” Mark 8:33
Jesus spoke those challenging words to one of his faithful followers, which means we’re all capable of getting sideways with Jesus. I’m realizing that even my well-intended thoughts and strong convictions don’t always line up with God’s plan. And when they’re not, I have a choice to make: rely on myself or trust Him. Let’s hold our ideas loosely. And cling to his trustworthy Word.
