It was a bible study question that changed our family forever. “Have you ever told God, NO?” God used that one question to lead us to adopt our youngest son, Miguel. We learned a lot through that prayerful journey, including discerning what is in our mind versus what is in God’s heart.
“You do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.” Matthew 16:23.
Jesus said those words to Peter, one of His beloved disciples. We can ALL get to the place where we let our own thoughts dictate our responses to God. What is God saying to you today? What are you saying to Him? Yes? No? I pray that we will put aside any thought that is contrary to God’s Word and leading in our lives. There’s no greater joy than saying, “Yes” to God. – Sandi
