Vulnerability alert: I don’t like looking in the mirror. I see the flaws, the imperfections and the “should’ve beens.” I think we ladies may struggle with this in varying degrees. We feel less than and it impacts the way we see ourselves, the world…and God. Thankfully, God has been doing a work in my life and I can honestly embrace this verse fully:
“You created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well.” Psalm 139: 13-14
If there is a disconnect between what God says about you and what you feel about you…I get it. I’ve lived it. I pray that your heart is open to embrace the truth of who He created you to be. It may take time. And counseling. But your heart can be content because you were handmade with love and with intentionality by God Himself. – Sandi
