This one prayer of Jesus gets me every time. He was facing the cross, pain and death. We don’t know every word that He cried out to His Father, but we do know the posture of His heart.
“My heart is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this? No, …Father, glorify your name!” John 12:27-28
Jesus’ prayer is one that we can utter today. When it is tempting to give up. When we want the mountain moved. When we would rather not face the trouble. What can we pray? We can ask God to use everything in our life for His glory. Even the painful, unexpected parts. Jesus knew His purpose. And He was surrendered. May we, too, embrace our purpose and God’s plan. May we courageously invite God to be glorified in it all today. – Sandi
