There is both blessing and a cost to following Jesus. And oftentimes, the blessing follows the sacrifice.
“Leave your country, your people and your family’s household and go to the land I will show you….and I will bless you… Genesis 12:1-2
God invited Abraham into a journey that required faith and a “letting go.” He had to leave everything familiar and step into the unknown. The blessing was promised. But sacrifice was required. Perhaps God is inviting you into something as well. A letting go. A step of faith. You can trust Him, even when you can’t see the plan. It may cost you something.
