Why is it so difficult to be still? It sounds like it should be easy. But speaking from personal experience, it isn’t.
“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:14
Why does God say we need to be still? Because that’s when we surrender control. When we acknowledge He is the only One who can save.
I like to be busy. I think it gives me a false sense of being in control. When facing a difficult situation, I want to “do something” to try to fix things. But when I’m still, I realize that I need Him. I’m more aware of His presence. And I’m surrendering to His doing more than my own.
God is with you. He’s aware of the battle around you. And He is inviting you to do nothing. Be still. He, also, promises to do something. He will fight for you. – Sandi
