My dad and I had a strained relationship for years. Weeks before he died, I wrote him a letter simply stating that I loved him, forgave him, and wanted a fresh start before it was too late. I was with him when he read the letter, folded it up, and said that he wasn’t interested. It was and still is heartbreaking to know that reconciliation wasn’t possible. He entered eternity with so many things still broken.
“We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:20
As simply and passionately as I can, I’m urging you to get things right with God, if you haven’t already. God is inviting you into a fresh start, a new life now, and a forever life with Him. He loves you, sent His son for you, and is inviting you to be reconciled…to fix the broken relationship with Him. There’s no better way to live or enter eternity. Belonging to God. – Sandi
