I was in college when this verse became really special to me. I was still trying to figure out who I was and who God wanted me to be. This is an “anchoring” verse for my life.
“Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:4
On the surface it seems like a formula for getting what you want from God. But that’s not the point at all. When our joy is rooted in our relationship with Christ, God changes our hearts. We don’t chase after the same things. Our desires begin to line up with God’s heart. That is where even more joy comes from. A heart that is in sync with the Father. If God puts the desire in your heart, He will be faithful with the outcome.- Sandi
