Suffering is never desired. But it speaks powerfully to other people about the source of your strength.
“They were flogged and ordered not to speak in the name of Jesus…The apostles left rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name….They never stopped proclaiming the good news of Jesus.” Acts 5:40-42
I wonder what spoke louder to the enemies of Jesus. His followers’ words or their faithfulness while suffering? God certainly used both. And He will do the same for you. If you are facing more pain than you think you can endure, may God be your strength. And may His power in your life be on display for a watching world. Don’t give up. Stay faithful.
