It is exhausting to carry a weight that you were never intended to carry. Here is what it looks like in my life. Trying to fix people. Worrying about things I can’t change. Trusting in my own strength more than God’s perfect power.
“They have abandoned me, the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that do not hold water.” Jeremiah 2:13
I see myself in that verse because I tend to forget that God is my source and my strength. He is the source of life and hope. Everything else disappoints, vanishes and is exhausting to carry. If you’re feeling weary or overwhelmed, go to the only source of living water and be refreshed. – Sandi
