Why does God allow suffering? Why would a good God allow bad things to happen? Maybe you’ve had those thoughts as well? I don’t have it all figured out either, but God can use even the most painful parts of your life for good.
“Suffering produces perseverance; which produces character; which produces hope.” Romans 5:3
We live in a broken world full of broken people. Some suffering is a byproduct of that. But even then, God doesn’t waste our suffering. He uses it to work out good things in us and our lives. Tenacity. Integrity and a hope for the future. Those are all byproducts of suffering, when we surrender our pain to the goodness of God. I’ve chased after the “whys” of suffering and found little comfort. I’ve surrendered my pain to my Father and found great comfort and hope. I pray the same for you. – Sandi
